Some names that have been on my mind lately. In brackets is its ranking in 2007.

Felix (379)
Francis (615)
Eliot (nn Eli) (359)
Ira (not ranked)
Simon (258)

Ellen (581- thought it would be higher)
Marjorie(994 in 1994)
Anna (25)
Alice (346)
Edith (730)
Rosalie (not ranked)

I tend to like old fashioned names.

I like Felix and Eliot. I like a few old-fashioned names for boys, but girls, not so much.

Mmmmm, I love your style. Except, if I were naming a boy Francis, I would most definitely spell it with an "i", b/c as I have always understood it Frances with an e is the girl's spelling. :)

My favorites are Simon, Ellen, and Alice. I am really surprised Eliot is not higher, it seems to be THE trendy name lately!

If my SO and I have children we are almost certainly using Felix. I am a big fan of it.

I quite like Eliot, but I spell it Elliott usually. I also like Simon, Anna, and Ellen.

Ah, if it is for T.S. Eliot, that makes perfect sense and I do like it a lot. You're right, the nickname is definitely more accessible that way too.

I love your taste! The only ones I don't like are Marjorie and Edith, but they're both fine, just not my style. Francis, Eliot, Simon, Anna, and Alice are on my list, too:)

i like:
Felix - i like the sound of it, but unfortunately i think it'll always remind me (and others probably) of the cat. i don't think that's a big deal though.
Francis - i like it for a girl.
Eliot - i like eliot (though i prefer elliott) as well as eli

Ellen - i like it, although a lot of other people don't. i like elle also.
Anna

the only names i really disliked were ira and marjorie. i've just never liked ira & marjorie sounds so awkward and is such a mouthful.

You stole my list! No, just kidding ;)

All boy's names except for Felix are on my list, and so are Anna and Edith.

Simon is my third favorite boy's name, Ira the fourth!
