If you're bored and you like voting on these things, by all means please do. Just keep in mind I like unique names that are still usable. I am a school teacher so I don't want to name my future kids something too common. Some of these names are a bit out there, but of course I respect it if that isn't your thing. :]

Some of your names are a bit out there, but Riker made me smile. I noticed that you also had Will there. Are you by any chance a Star Trek fan?

Haha. I mean, I've seen the show but I wouldn't label myself a huge fan. I've always loved the name Will (I've never met a Will who wasn't hot and nice hehe) and Riker is the name of my physical therapist's son, so that's where I heard it. ;]

I'm all for fandom love, but I shy away from really obvious names like Caspian, Cullen, and Sawyer. Lost is my favorite show, but I see the name Sawyer and think how the character wasn't such a good guy and couldn't name a child that. Love Autumn for a girl.

Autumn is one of my favorites but it's on the top 100 most popular names list which makes me a bit uneasy.

I hear that alot with Sawyer (the Lost association) but for me it comes straight from Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer. One of my favorite authors and books of all time.

I'm not too crazy about Cullen, I heard it on a 3rd grader recently and thought it was a bit out there but still masculine. I know it's popular now b/c of Twilight which is why I wouldn't use it. Also, it's a little too close to Collin for my liking.

I'm on the fence with Caspian (yes, Narnia but also Caspian sea) although whenever I put it out there I get overwhelming positive response. I don't know that I'd use it but, man do people love it.

I get you on the Sawyer thing. My current favorite girl name is Miranda, which I learned/liked on the show Northern Exposure. Not that I'm having a kid anytime soon, but I kind of fear if I used it, people would think it's after the Sex and the City character.

Yes. It's like # 70 something, I was suprised also! Miranda is a cute name and although I do assiciate it with Sex & the City, it's not a bad association. Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if those names surged in popularity within the next decade or so because of it.

Good list! Some of your girl names I like far better on boys such as Archer, Hunter and Logan. I LOVE the names Elle and Rowan, but I don't like the double N spelling in Rowan that you have on your list. Harlow and Shiloh are really nice unfortunately I think they'll be associated with the celebrity babies.

Thanks! I know alot of people have a more masculine feel for Archer, Hunter and Logan (especially logan because I've met quite a few small girl Logans) but I totally prefer them on girls, not sure why. Hehe. And Rowann with too Ns is totally changable. :]

Autumn and Shaw are my favorites from your girl's like. I don't care for the others. I don't like boy names on girls very much. My least favorite is Brekken, it makes me think of the monster on Clash of the Titans ;)

In your boys I like Sawyer and Riker. I don't watch a lot of TV, so I don't have the Lost, etc connotations with those names. Sawyer is all Mark Twain to me, and I rather like it :)

Yay to Mark Twain Sawyer. Breckan is the name of my co-worker's little girls. On the girl it's cute but I'm not sure if I'm in love with it yet either, also I haven't seen Clash since I was like 6 so I don't really make that connection but I'm glad you brought it up.

Shiloh, Harlow, Hayden, Hunter, Logan & Breckan I love for girls names!
It's a bit unfortunate that Harlow & Shiloh are now celebrity babies, but I'm all for mixing it up a bit and giving girls names traditionally picked for boys (and vice versa).
I personally think Hunter & Logan would be exceptionally cute names for girls :)
I only like Will, Deacon & Bowen out of the boys - Wyatt & Rowan I've had bad associations with before and it's ruined the names for me, and Cullen sounds like "culling" to me.

Haha, don't you hate when associations ruin good names? I'm glad you like Hunter on a girl ..well, and Logan but to me Logan has always been a girl's name (association).

It's so sad that Shiloh especially is now a celeb name b/c I've always loved that.

I don't think any of your names are as much "out there" as trendy, actually. Maybe only trendy for a certain demographic, but the name selection definitely is a cohesive cultural statement.

It's not the statement I would want to make, by any measure; I refrained from voting, as I don't feel qualified to deem one pop culturally trendy name any better or worse than another.

If the demographic you mean is generational, I'm really not that young.

I'm not really trying to "state" anything... except for maybe I like literature...haha, and I guess I don't mind making that statement but I totally get where you're coming from. My personal pet peeve (being a teacher) is all-too common names, even those labeled as "traditional". I'm so over them, having to call a child by his last initial and so on. It irks me...which is why I'm starting to look elsewhere for names. ;]

Some names I have always loved even before they were "celeb" names, believe it or not. Sawyer and Shiloh I've loved since childhood from books.
