My coworker is godfather to a girl named Abimbula. It's a Nigerian name, but her parents are both English to the bone. They just liked the name.

She's apparently 15, nearly 16, has a normal social life free of any significant teasing, does NOT go by a nickname...

Dude.

I'm all for the cross-cultural name thing, but not even I can stomach Abimbula.
