8 week old twin girls came into the store yesterday:

Nemesis Arian
Odessey Re'Ann

I was just...wow...so I had to see what the mother looked like. Yeah, she was 15. This person is one reason why teen moms get stereotyped. Does she even know what Nemesis means, I wonder? She didn't speak English very well, so I guess it's possible she doesn't. Also, there should be a fine for using an apostrophe. blah.

I know! It is terrible! I could almost, maybe, possibly see Nemesis as a rough and tumble "badass" kind of name for a boy, but for a little girl?!? At best it sounds like a fairy tale villain.

When I had my son the nurses all seemed sooo excited that I didn't name him Aidan/Jayden/Brayden/Kaiydyn/Frayden/Bavaidyynn etc. Then they told horror stories of the names they've heard. I bet they really do want to slap some people.
