Do any of you like both the masculine and feminine version of a name? I feel really silly liking both Julian and Juliana, but I do, and I totally didn't even come up with both names at the same time. Anyway, thoughts on those names? (I can't wait until October so I know which sex to focus my baby-name-hunt efforts on!)

I adore Julian. Not too big on Juliana, but I love Julianne and Juliet, so I guess that's pretty close. I don't feel too weird; I think it's just my style.

I'm the exact same way with Julian/Juliana, right down to coming up with them at different time. :)

I also like Angela/Angelo, Charles/Charlotte, Frances/Francis, Josephine/Joseph, Nicolina/Nicolette/Nicholas and Phillippa/Phillip.

I'm definitely the same way. I like Julian and Julie, Alexander and Alexandra. There are probably others, but those are near the top of my lists.

Eloise is my favorite girl name and Louis my favorite boy name. =\ I can't use both because I think they are far too similar.

I also like Louise, Louisa, and Lucille.

I generally only like one a male/female set--and usually the masculine form. For example, I like Gabriel, but not really Gabrielle/a; Christopher, but not Christine; Simon, but not Simone; and Alexander, but not Alexandra. Alternatively, I like Georgiana, but not George (bad associations, with Curious, Bush, and an obnoxious boy down the street); Josephine, but not Joseph; Samantha, but not Samuel.

I do like both Julian and Julianna, as well as both William and Willa, however.

The ones I could come up with that I like are:

Oliver/Olivia, Lucian/Lucia, Jude (I like it for both a boy and a girl)

My friend loved the names Joel and Joelle back in high school. Thankfully she named her son Wesley.

Charles/Caroline

That's the only one I can think of that I like.

My name is Julianne! :D

So, I like both hehe :) Although I must admit that the name Julian was (and still is, sometimes) quite annoying to me because a lot of people pronounced my name like that upon first seeing it (a lot of teachers... did they not see the 'anne' part? Anyway). And I like Juliana :) (My mom was debating between naming me Julianna or Julianne, but she decided on the latter because she thought 'Julianna' was a little too frilly and over the top).
