Will someone pleaseee "translate" these names for me =/

Airahlynn Makhynleigh (f)
Khaelynn Bryleigh (f)
Khirynn Malaykah (f)

Also, what'd you think of Jakhobey Delayne (m) ?

I'm pretty sure they're all a sibset because I found them when browsing an old friends Myspace.

...

Okay, I tried translating them but I honestly can't. I got most of them, but WTF is Malaykah supposed to be?!

THERE SHOULD BE LAWS.

I always say "There should be laws" but then my sisters points out that having 'laws' in place made it a huge pain in the ass to be able to name her daughter.

If you don't mind me asking, what's her daughter's name?

I hate names like Jaiden and Michaela, but there should at least be laws to prevent spelling abominations like the ones in the post. I don't exactly mean outright banning names.

Her name is Riley. By no means would it be my first choice and i do find it WAY trendy but still the Danish government made it far too difficult for her to be able to use it.

Ahh. Riley's not bad. At least the Danish gov't has laws. A lot of names on American kids are wretched, even after you get past the spellings. Which is why there should be laws. ;)

All I get from them is 'try to hard, potentially young/teenage mom'. I could be wayy off though.

1- Airalyn McKinley
2- Kaelyn Brilee/Bryleigh
3- Kieran Malayka
4- Jakoby Delane

I'm pretty sure that Airalyn MIGHT be a take on "Irulan", but pronounced like Ear-ah-lynn, kind of.

But Bryleigh? Malayka? WTF?

Aralynn Mckenley
Kaylynn Brinley
Karen Malaci (I am being very "generous" here with Karen.)

Even the translations look bad...

Airalynn McKinley (neither of which are actual names, one's made up, the other's a last name)

Kaylin Brylie (yeah, it turns out I'm making them up myself!)

Karen Malaika ?

Jacobi Delaine

I like Jacobi!

I'm gonna join the "THERE SHOULD BE LAWS" campaign!!

gross.

my best guesses...

the first middle name should be mckinley (like the president)
the second first name should be kay-lynn (i have no idea if theres a proper spelling of this because it sounds made up to me)
the third first name should be either karen or kieran

and the last one is jacoby? like the red sox player?

See, this is why celtic/welsh names get you in trouble; kre8tive examples like this. Because those names - to me - are pronounced they way they're spelled. And if they're not - actually - pronounced that way, they will be anyway. :D

Names like this make me so glad I'm not a teacher. I can imagine my husband looking over his class roster and just frowning!

If I'm right, Malayka is meant to be Malaijke (not sure how it's spelt), a Dutch name. I know a girl with that as a middle name, and her father is Dutch.
