This is probably a weird post but I'm curious..

What do you think of the names teenage mothers give to their child(ren)?
Do you think it's possible to tell wether or not a baby was born to a teenager by his/her name?
What names have teenagers you know given to their children? Are they all Aiden/Hayden/Braedens & Addison/Madisons ?

I can't agree that you can tell the age of the mother/father by the name of their child. I honestly like most of the names listed in the original post and am currently 29wks pregnant and planning to name my son Aidan. And no, I'm not a teenager. I love the name. It has nothing to do with any TV shows or top name lists. It's because the meaning is "little fire ball" and given the personalities of myself and the father, I believe this will be true for our son.

It's never a good idea to generalize anything, ever. Just because a name may be considered "trendy" or has been featured on a TV show, doesn't mean that is the reason someone is choosing to use it. And just because someone is young doens't mean they're going to name their child something ridiculous, or because someone is older their child will have a great name (though that is all in your perception). For example, there's an older couple in New Zealand attempting to name their child 4Real because they just realized this baby is for real. : / Someone's age rarely reflects their intelligence, or ignorance.

Haha. I would never assume everyone in NZ inherited those terrible baby naming skills!! I'm just hoping they change their mind before the baby is actually born!
