I love May and Mai. They both sound so cute, especially as part of a double barreled name. I especially adore the name Maisie, so Mai :)

Mai I would pronounce like 'my' if I didn't know any better. I like it though!

^ & Maiko is really cute!

It's perfectly fine to have a short name! If I saw your name written out, I'd pronounce it "my"
Is that right? I think it's a fine name. I prefer Mai over May.

Mai is hard to give a middle name! To me, it would work best as the middle name but even that would be difficult to find something that flows really well.

May, definitely. It's one of my fave girls' names.

My cousin's name is May, but it's short for Maya-Marie lol.

I pronounce Mai as my. I prefer the spelling of Mae, but love Mae and Maisie as nicknames for Margaret.

Margaret Julienne? Margaret Miranda? Margaret Adele?

This just reminded me of a friend I have, she's Chinese and her name is Jiao Li [first name, last name].
So her whole name is only 6 letters!
I think it's find of neat.

And by 'find' I clearly meant 'kind'.
Oops!

I'm confused. You don't know what your name is? .__.
Is it spelled Mai or May ? The first is "my", the latter is "m-ay".

For the record, Mai in italian means "never".
It sounds Japanese (are you?), and I think it's cool :)

Truthfully, it's hard to suggest middle names for such a short name without a frame of reference. What type of names do you like?

Mai Karen
Mai Evelyn
Mai Nicole

I found out that your name means Dance in Japanese, and I love that!
