Do you prefer the spelling:
Anja or Anya?
What do you think of the name Sarai (maybe as a middle name for Anja)?
(I prefer Anja, partially because I had a great grand Aunt with that name, but I'm kind of afraid that people will read it as An-juh)

Anja is a pretty old-fashioned name here, so to me, Anya is more modern.

I like Anya better.

Sarai is beautiful, I've always loved it (but I think Sara is blah, go figure), but in italian it would be silly as a name, because it's already a verb and means "you will be". Maybe that could be cool when used in a different language :)
Anya Sarai sounds lovely-beyond-lovely!
Although I'd prefer Anya to be short for something.

And generally, I prefer longer names than Anya... I like names like Arianna and Isabella, but the dad-to-be is not a fan of multi syllable names. I think he gets it from his parents-- both he and his brother have one syllable names. Anyway, Anya is a name that we both like, so we are considering it. I'm not sure what Anya could be short for-- do you know of some?

But I guess dad-to-be wouldn't quite agree to this one :P
It is also pretty much used as a name on it's own, so it could get by!
