for girls, i really love india lily, and i like annabel, but not so fond of ivy, although i admit it is pretty. for the other girls names, i like amelia, clara, fern, felicity, josie, lily, nina, violet, and zoe.

for boys, i really love ezra, asher and kai, and those middle names sound great with them. from the additional list, i like asher, cassian (i prefer cassius but they both have the great nickname of cash, which i love), dylan, elliott, isaac, jesse, jonas, luka, max, miles, and oliver.

my top two boys names are on your list (max and oliver!) and i recently suggested luka to my boy but he didnt like it, even though i really do. :(

i love that your middle names have significance, i dont personally like it when people just come up with random names that "sound good" for a middle, although there are people who could be honored with that name. ah well, to each his own. :)

just wanted to add that i really love sophie too, i just prefer india lily to india sophie.

I totally agree, it's really important to me that my kids names have some kind of meaning, otherwise they just seem so pointless (that's not really the right word, but I'm tired!).

Pretty choices! What do you think of Annabel Ivy? To my ear, that is slightly more melodious (probably in part because it is hard to transition between the two vowels when the names are the other way around).

Annabel is my middle name, and I only really like it as a middle name. Also, my cousin is called Annabel, so it would get a bit confusing.
I agree though Annabel Ivy does flow well. Nevermind.

For you favorites, I love Ivy and India for the girls, and Asher (my youngest nephews name) and Kai (getting a little popular) for boys.

For the others, I like:

Of the individual names the only ones I really dislike are Elmer and Lolita because of their associations. The rest are very nice.

Ivy Annabel - LOVE this! I know you said the middle names have personal signifigance, but I much prefer Annabelle.. it looks more, "complete" to me.
India Sophie/India Lily - Not a huge fan of India, I guess it's pretty if you don't think about the country. Kind of like how Ethiopia is kind of pretty if you don't think about it too much. LOL

Boys:
Ezra Alexander - LOVE this combo! My favorite of the three
Asher James - Not too much of an 'Ash' fan.. but Asher is my favorite of them all.
Kai Winter - Not so sure about this one... Winter seems rather feminine to me.. but that could change.

I can see where you are coming from, but I don't really see the point in naming a child something if you are going to always call them something else. I'm finding myself really liking the name Nina now.

My son is Theo (short for Theodore) and if he were a girl she would have been Annabel. Both of these names work for me :)

I really like Theo, but my brother is called Leo so the names might be too similar for me to use it :s and my middle name is Annabel!

a good friend of ours shares Theo's birthday and goes by Leo. You get used to it after awhile.
