A girl (well, woman lol) comes into my work and her name is Afton. It really fits her, I think... I can't imagine her having any other name.

If her name was say, Ava, you wouldn't be able to imagine her having any other name. It's only because you know her as Afton. Do all the Aftons in the world look like/act like the one you know? No.

True... but then again there is the other side, where there are people I know who don't fit their name at all. For instance, no one ever pegs me as a Jenn/Jennifer, and I don't think my son's name fits him, either. But then there are people that you are around and go, "Wow, they really are a ______", which is the case with the any/all of the Michaels in my family.
