Does anyone know any good names that end in -er? I'm kinda torn because my last name begins with R and ends in -er. Should I even be looking at -er names?

My favorites for a boy would be Alexander and Spencer. Harper's the only -er name I can think of that I'd even remotely like on a girl.
I do think it's awkward when the first name ends with the same sound that starts the middle name. The fact that both names would end with the same sound would add to that, I think, and I would personally not use those first names, in that case.
I'm in a similar situation. My boyfriend's last name is Brewer, and if we end up having children together, I'm going to scrap two names I'd love to use, Spencer, after a close friend of both of ours, and Peter, after one of my oldest, closest friends.
Personally, I think you should take -er named off your list with a last name like that. Assume your LN is Ryder... Parker Ryder, Harper Ryder, Tucker Ryder.. Just doesn't flow well. A really "crisp" sounding 1 syllable name would be great (assuming, again, your LN is 2 syllables).

As long as your last name doesn't end in ER, you're fine. I think all of these would sound fine with an R last name (I said them with Robbins).
