The middle name is my father-in-law's name so that's why it's so bland.

im not a nickname fan.. I dont know why. i feel like if i wanted people to call you "sam" (for samantha) I'd just have named the kid Sam. ya know? but thats just me.

That's funny, my parents are the same way. They named us all so our names couldn't be shortened, with the exception of me. We're Colleen, Carrie & Catherine (Cathy). My Dad actually uses Sam as his example too :)
