Yep. We'd probably end up calling her Ginny for short even though the spelling doesn't make sense.

Never have liked the name much, it doesnt seem very feminine to me (although i know it isnt unisex or anything...) A lot of people think it's quite unusual, but it's my cousins name so i've grown up with it. My cousin is a little chubby and annoying.. so thats probably why i don't care for it much!

I'd go for a really girly middle name:

I had never heard it until a few years ago in the movie Down To You and I fell in love with it. A lot of people don't like it but I keep going back to it.

My Imogen will go by "Immy", although "Ginny" is a cute alternative nickname!!

Ginny was my husband's idea but I do think I like Immy better. I hope she'll like her name enough to use it when she gets older but I think with Ginny she'd probably end up sticking with that. And the whole spelling it wrong thing is a little confusing :) The only other shortened version I heard before today (Imogen Heap) is Ima and I do prefer Ginny over that.

I know a girl named Virginia that goes by Genny, so I wouldn't worry too much about the spelling being weird. Even if the spelling was "right" people would still mess it up anyways. :)

And just a heads up, people are probably going to spell her name "Imagine."

I actually always thought it was spelled that way until I looked it up. So I guess I can't get to upset about that :)

"Imogen Frais" (pronounced 'fray', in the French, meaning 'expenses.')

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one out there who likes it. At first nobody besides my husband liked it but now they say they do. I just wanted opinions since I don't know if my family is saying they like it just to be nice :) Immy is cute too!

(Frances is the middle name of the oldest girl, including myself, going back 5 generations on my mum's side of the family.

If you like classic names, maybe Rose. Or something longer, Elizabeth.

There are numerous posibilities, and it's hard to know without knowing what kinda of names you like ;)

That's really pretty. And I love flowery names so that would fit without being so obvious.

I like it. It's a strange name for me, one that I think I should love. It's very much my style. And I do love the way it looks, but something falls a little short in the way it sounds for me. I don't know. Maybe I just haven't heard it enough for it to seem familiar and friendly to me.

Imogen is a wonderful name in my opinion. Someone above suggested Imogen Ruby, which I think is beautiful. I like it with Rose, too, but Rose seems to be such a popular middle name these days--it almost takes away from how unique the first name is. If you want a longer name with it, I think something like Helena (or even Helene) could work beautifully. Anyway, great choice! I love it. =)

With something like Imogen, you might want to use something traditional, like Elizabeth or Catherine or Jane. Or if your maiden name suits, use that!
