Best combinations?

Hi all!

My husband and I are currently trying for a baby. Since he's incredibly picky about names, I've decided we're going to pick two choices for each sex BEFORE I'm pregnant, because if I have to deal with his 'pickiness' while full of hormones, I might kill him.

Boy names were easy- we had two right away. Girl names, however, were quite a bit harder. After showing him a list of a trillion girl names, he picked a few he liked that coincidentally, I liked as well.

We've got some contenders for first AND middle, but I'd like to hear your opinions as to the best combos. Last name begins with an "N," ends with an "N," and is two syllables.



Alice
Caroline
Charlotte
Eloise
Lucille (would need to be a middle name, if used at all)
Miriam
Ruby

I love Caroline, Charlotte and Ruby. Alice is also pretty. I dislike the rest.

I think if you were going to use Lucille, I'd go with Charlotte Lucille.

I don't think so. I think Charlotte goes with all of the recently popular but old and classic names, but it's not *as* popular. And I don't think Lucille is very popular, the only Lucille I've ever personally known was my great-grandmother.

I like all of these a lot except for Eloise and Charlotte, and even then, they're nice names, just kind of eh. Charlotte is overused and makes me think of the Sex and the City character (who really gets on my nerves) and Eloise has always seemed like an old lady name to me (yet Alice and Ruby don't, haha).

My favorites are Alice, Ruby, and Caroline, and I like Lucille sounds great with all three of them. I also like Alice Caroline, Alice Miriam, Ruby Caroline, Ruby Eloise, and Caroline Alice.

If you're worried about the popularity of Charlotte, I'd suggest a compromise of using it as a middle name.

I'm loving this name list! I don't even particularly like the name Miriam, but you don't know how relieved I was when I saw this list and thought, "OMG, people do have good taste in names after all!"

And it's not even my child. Forgive me, I've been away at Yahoo! Answers for too long, and you would think that all parents really think that Kaedyn is a great unique name for their boy/girl/robot. XP

I actually only like two of the names, and oddly enough, those are the ones that I think sound the best together: Ruby Caroline. Charlotte Ruby sounds nice too.
