I am barely pregnant but it takes us forever to pick names so we are getting an early start! I have a daughter named Katey Nichole and a son named Donovan Ryan. I want a name that flows with their names but not something very common either. I know Katey is common but not her spelling and dad was very persistent about Katey!

I like these names but just wanted outside opinions.
Nora
Delaney (Laney)
Penelope (Penny) this one is iffy
Logan
Julian

I like Delaney and Julian a lot. Nora is also pretty. I'm not a fan of Penelope or Logan.

I know this is corny but the only reason I have considered Logan is because of X-men. I an have a hard time with boy names. my son wasn't named until the day he was born. Girls for some reason are so much easier to me.

I like Nora for a girl and Julian for a boy. Hate Logan.

The only name of the above that I like is Julian.
I like different names also, but... to a different extent, I guess.

Me neither. Too many y's. I love Julian, we almost named our son that, and I adore Nora.

Julian was a named we tossed around for Donovan and his name was going to be Nora if he had been a girl.

None of these are different or unusual at all... just variations (and not good ones) on other names names.

Clarah - The 'h' makes this otherwise good name ridiculous, IMO.

Kayleighna - Too. Many. Letters. *cringe* Kalina/Calina (how I would spell it, either way) is actually very pretty, I think, and a great alternative to trendy Kaylee.

Mileyna - Completely horrifying. Has a major WTF? response, at least on my sided of the screen. I have issues with the name Miley anyway, and its skyrocketing popularity, but the 'na' makes it awful. AVOID.

...Milena, though, is a legit name. I have no idea what the correct pronunciation is, but bottom line, avoid the 'y'. It's horrible.

I do prefer Corinna and Corinne to be spelt with a 'c', but according to Behind the Name, the 'k' isn't wrong (it's Greek). So IMO, the K makes the names look tacky, but at least it isn't made-up.

Really, I wasn't asking for your opinions on any of these names. I said I liked them. There was no wdyt added.

It's a naming community. We give opinions on names, even if people weren't asking for them. And I wasn't even being rude, just giving honest (if blunt) responses, so I don't see what the issue is here.

I like Norah spelled with an h, but Nora without is okay, too. I also like Julian. The others aren't my style, but are okay (as long as Logan is on a boy; it's AWFUL on a girl).

I like Penelope. Its unusual, but not too weird.

I like Nora and Delaney (though not Laney). I also like Julian for a boy, but Logan is becoming way too common.

Nora's one of my favorites, and I think it would go really well with that sibset. I also like Penelope/Penny, and for boys I prefer Julian to Logan. Logan's getting pretty common, I think it was in the top 20 boys' names last year. I dislike Delaney, I think either just Laney or Elaine or Lane with the nickname Laney would be better.

I like Nora and Penelope as well. I LOVE Julian. Hate Logan though. It's too popular right now...but that aside, I have bad associations with it, so I might be too biased. ;o)

I think that Laney sounds good with Katey. Delaney sounds good with Donovan too. To me, Nora sounds good with both names. I think Julian does too. But I think Penelope sounds a little out of place with Katey and Donovan.

What do you typically call Donovan, just out of curiosity?

I like Nora and Penelope, but the latter is a bit matchy with both of the girls having the sound 'ee' ending in their names. Not fond of Julian, but it'd make a good sibset with Katey and Donovan. I give a thumbs-down to Logan, along with the rest of the crowd.

I like Nora and Julian best. Nora Delaney would be a nice name.
