I see it as a boy's name. I don't like it either way, though.

I disagree with that. I would never put it on a boy!

I wouldn't use it on a boy either, but I know several boys with that name and no girls.

I know! I thought it was weird at first but I got used to it. I think it's a Hebrew male name.

Ari is a common boy's name, but I have never ever seen Aria on a boy!

It's my husband's uncle's name.
It means lion in Hebrew.

You mean a self contained expressive melody for one voice usually with orchestral accompaniment? No, I didn't write that, I'm not that eloquent.

Yeah, this name gets a no from me. I don't like it at all. And I agree with the first commenter, I see it as a more masculine name; at least by looking at it. I think that that could be because I can't stop my head from pronouncing it ah-rye-uh. If you say it fast enough with a middle name, it sounds like "are ya ___________?"

Sounds like it belongs in an opera.

I know an Aria (about 25 years old) and she gets compliments on her name all the time from people. I personally wouldn't use it, though.

Well, yeah. But I think it looks unfinished.

Aria is a music award show here in Australia, so that's all I see it as.

I used to like it, but then someone pointed HER (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aria_Giovanni) out to me and now it's kinda tainted, lol
