Hey I am new to this whole LJ thing.. But every since I was young I loved baby names! I used to have a notebook filled w. baby names. When I got pregnant the names I had picked out were

Girl
Keianna ( key on ah ) -  I had this name since I was like 12 and I was 100% sure I was going to name my daughter this until last minute I changed my mind. My friends bf had a daughter name Aniyah and I LOVED it but didnt want to copy him so I named my daughter Amiya ( A-MY-Yah )

IF she would have been a boy her name was going to be

Mehki Tyree

My bf and I are trying for baby #2 
If its a boy he will be a third ( his daddy is a JR ) so we will call him Trey
If its a girl her name is going to be Leela marie ( her daddy middle name is Lee & my sisters middle name is marie )

I really like the name Leela. It has a very classic feel but at the same time it is both trendy and modern.

It kind fits in with names such Lily, Kayla, Tara, Kylie etc that are popular now but it's different.

I'm not crazy about Marie personally (I've always liked to go different with middle names. It's a preference thing but you can never go wrong when naming children after family).

What's funny is Keianna is a character in a book that I'm reading...

Also, I really like Leela. I prefer the spelling Lila though, but unfortunately that one is more likely to be pronounced Lye-la.

Amiya sounds really pretty. I like Mehki too, actually, so she was good either way :) Trey for a third is really cute.

Love Amiya (a lot more than Aniyah, so I think you did your friend one better). Not a fan of Mehki Tyree (the 'h' looks unnecessary), Trey is NMS but nice, and I like Leela, though I agree with the above poster that I wish there were another spelling that wasn't gonna make people think "lye-lah."

Amiya is awesome! I might suggest Leila over Leela, but I like the name either way.

Leila could be lay-la though... Leela is the only way of making it guaranteed pronounced right, although I think other spellings could be nicer.

But if it's named after the name Lee I suppose this way is better anyway.
