and so on...

Personally, I don't really like them, but some of them have pretty sounds...

I really like Aragorn, Arwen and Eowyn, but not to the point of actually using any of the names.

I like the sound of a lot of LOTR names, actually, especially the elvish ones, but if I was going to use any of them I think it would be in a kind of honorific way, and those are the only three characters for which I could possibly be induced to consider doing that.

Well, I'm a big fan of the name Sam anyway. But if I ever married a guy who really loved LOTR, I wouldn't object to using other, more obvious ones, on the list. Go Legolas.

I really like Arwen and I think Eowyn is nice too...but I don't like the LOTR movies at all so I think it'd be kind of weird to use them.

Besides, there are many other names I love more.

They left off one of the only LotR name that you can really use for a human that doesn't live in middle earth: Elanor.

Oh, I also like Rohan, Merry, Pippin (I think Pippin or Pip would be a cute nickname for Philippa), Sam (even though it means "half"), and Rosie (as a nickname). A lot of these names, like Gríma, are so closely linked to their meaning for me that I could never see using them. The others are just clearly Middle-earth names.

I like the Rohan. I've always liked Pippin. I think that naming a girl Meredith and calling her Merry is cute. :)

I loved Pippin as a name when I first read the books when I was like 12. Now I just associate it with the musical... God damn, now I'll have 70s showtunes stuck in my head all day.
