So...I told my mom if i married someone with that last name, I'd name my son Graham (I wouldn't really)

You have a point that last names rule out some first names. For example, my last name includes a color, so any names that are strongly associated with color (like Grayson, or Violet... even Robin because everyone says Robin Red breast!) sound really silly, so I have to cross those off our list.
