Personally I could and have made up nicknames for some of these names, but overall I'd say it's pretty good.

yeah, i think you can pretty much make a nickname for anything if you really want to.

I know people with names on this list who have nicknames:

Tiffany - Tiff
Wyatt - W
Courtney - Court
Faith - Fay

And more. You can make a nickname out of almost any name IMO.

Almost being in the key word because WTF could you NN for someone named Jay?

I could probably come up with a nn for every name on this list, but I like nn's. But to most people, this is a pretty good no-nn list.

I like Amber, Bryn(n), Chelsea, Claire, Drew, Greer, Morgan (on boys), Nora, Piper, Ruby, Austin, Blake, Dean, Harry, Justin, Kyle, Miles, Neal (Neil), Noah, Sean, Toby, Walker and Whyatt.

Yeah, most, if not all of these names could have nicknames, but they don't lend themselves to it quite as easily as some names.

If nothing else, a nickname can always just be the first letter of a name.

I'm not going to debate it, but I think we can all make nn's for all of these.

A friend of mine's parents were trying to go for no-nickname names (at least not super-common nicknames like Dan for Daniel that are nearly unavoidable) with their children.

Somehow when finding a name for my friend though, they missed Ken for Kenneth. =P

His older brother though, I can't think of anything easy as a nickname - Brendan. I kind of like the name itself too. I suppose you could shorten it to Bren or something, but that feels really unfinished even compared to a lot of common nicknames like Matt or Mike or Dan, so I don't think it would stick if someone tried it, but that may be just me.

I'm starting to think that the guy I know named Bryn is the only guy with that name. The only time I've ever seen it anywhere, it's on a girl's list.

As a person who hates nicknames, I'm happy to see a few of my favourite names on here.

Ya know a really good no-nickname name? Erin. It's my name and let me tell you, other than "air" (pronounced that way), I've never had a nickname. And my friend at work just started calling me that when I started working here, and I'm 26. So for 26 years, I really didn't have a nickname.

My parents tried to name all 3 of us so that we wouldn't have nicknames. Somehow they missed Jay for Jason and Allie for Allison. But they did a bang up job on my name! :)

many of these are the shortened forms of longer names.
