These names are sort of the inverse of the names I posted yesterday... Names that are falling in popularity.  Some of these names are very recently dying fads, and some of these have been decreasing in popularity for quite some time and will seem "old-fashioned" to the next generation.  It is quite a long list.  I'm posting the boys now, and girls sometime in the future.

Barney actually hasn't been in the top 1000 names since 1976... looks like it thankfully self-destructed before the dinosaur, but it'll always seem like a pet/cartoon character name to me.

I thought about it today because someone was telling me how their grandmother wanted to name their child after her husband, the child's great-grandfather. The name would have been 'Barney'.
I sort of class it together with Roger (another one!) where I imagine some old guy with thick glasses who's getting a little bit hunchbacked.

I don't care if you agree or not. I just don't think you understand my process for making this list - I didn't use much personal discretion, just compiled a list of names declining in popularity. I know this list is somewhat faulty, but I didn't feel like perfecting it. If you feel like writing your own, go ahead, I'd really be interested in seeing something like this with a little more care put into it.
