I was just poking around a friend's blog and I came across this list:
Things I Do Not Particularly Like But Would Consider Naming My Children

1. Windex
2. Chevrolet
3. Pneumonia
4. Cleveland
5. Diesel
6. NASA*
7. TJ Maxx
8. Chlamydia

* This doesn't fit. I really do like NASA.

What words do you DISLIKE that you think make good names? No fair using already-established word names like Mercedes (I know, I know: the name came first). These need to be primarily non-name words, and they need to be words that you dislike, or words that mean things that you dislike. Bonus points for definitions.

Chlamydia is a lovely word. Others on my list:
Tachycardia (f) (rapidity of heart rate)
Cuckold (m) (a man who has been cheated on)
Cacophony (f) (a bad noise)
Hymenal (f) (relating to hymens)
Imbroglio (m) (a hubbub)
Chaos (f) (unpredictability/a state of confusion)
Treachery (f) (betrayal)
Diarrhoeal (f) (relating to diarrhea) I feel like the "o" of the British spelling makes it nicer as a name, but grosser as a word. I also feel that the "o" in "foetus" is disgusting. Well this list has sort of gone off the tracks...

PS: Folks, you would not actually name a child these things. They're terrible words that sound like names.
