I love reading all these names.

I am 28 years old, 34 weeks.. due January 16th, 2005.

Hubby and I have fought a LOT about baby names, but have finally agreed on the names below. (We're not finding out what the sex of baby is until he/she is born) Surprises are fun! :D

I just wanted to see what kind of reaction I could get from the names.
I am NOT easily offended and want honest reactions.

Is it pronounced "Aye-ana?" It's a little difficult to spell/pronounce, but it's pretty.

I really like Bo and Lisabeta. Is Kalashnikov a family name? It's pretty cool!

It's pronounced Eye-yawna. It's Native American, which is my heritage.
My hubby is part Russian and loves the heritage. That's where Lizabeta comes from as well as Kalashnikov. He is also an avid gun collector and the name Kalashnikov is the guy who invented the AK-47 (his favorite collecting gun) My dad passed away in 98, and I wanted the name Bo after him. It was only his nickname, but it's what we knew him as. So, for my husband to agree with Bo, he had to have Kalashnikov. (See what I mean about the fighting about names?) lol

Neither one is at all my style, but again, to each his own. They sound very... Russian? Or something along those lines. Russian/Czech, something from that region of the world. Is that your background? If so, I think they kinda fit...

We're both mutts, but the Russian is part of my husband's heritage, so that's where the names come from.

I don't think Aiyana is that hard to pronounce at all. I really like it. I really prefer Bo spelled as Beau, but that's just me. And I love ethnic names, especially if they are of the mother or the father's ancestry. So, the middle names are a hit with me! :D

The reason for Bo is that it was my dad's nickname. His real name was Marvin. lol
And my hubby would never go for the Beau spelling... it's French. (I have nothing against it, except for the fact that I want him named after my dad)

I like Lizabeta, but naming your son after an assault rifle...? I think some baggage would come with that name.

Yeah, I get that ALOT. :D I just hope that he's tough enough to take it. Plus, I figure since I got to name the first name, hardly anyone uses middle names anymore, except for legal issues.

I really like Aiyana. however, Lizabeta is cute... i just wouldnt put the two together. simply because of the similiar sounding endings or both.

Totally not feeling the Bo. Could you name him something else and call him Bo? There are so many awesome Russian first names for boys out there.

We tried that route, and hubby liked the name BOyd. I LOATHED it! :D
But the reason for Bo is to name him after my dad who passed away.
It's funny... I thought I'd get more bad reactions out of Kalashnikov than the others. Life is funny! :D
