The only one I really like is Dexter.

My best friend's dad's name is Norman, and he's definitely nerdy. And Sheldon makes me laugh because of When Harry Met Sally:)

Ulysses doesn't strike me as nerdy, though; makes me think of The Odyssey and Ulysses S. Grant, two quite strong/masculine associations. Vladimir, too, because of the Vladimir Putin/Vladimir Lenin connotations.

I don't see several of these as nerdy: Barrett, Sheldon, Xavier. Most of the rest kind of are.

But Ulysses? As in Odysseus? Slightly more heroic than nerdy, no?
