(ONE) I'm looking for boys names that end in "SON." From some reason I really like the name Fredson, but apparently that is quite unacceptable! lol. I can kind of understand.

(TWO) Also, we are having quite a proplem finding girls names we like. My name is Ella, and every name I like has "Elle" or "Ella" in it, which i think would be weird. I love Stella, Eloise, Arabella, Annabel, even Isla! So any suggestions?

(THREE) Annndd... What do you think of the name Odette? I'm uncertian as to wheather I like it or not.

Thannnks lovelies.

Jackson is getting extremely popular. I kind of like Harrison. Otherwise there are soooo many 'son' names I don't know where else to start!

I think Stella is too much like Ella, but all the others are totally fine, and most people wouldn't notice the common sound.

I don't like Odette much, but I don't think I like any names that start with O, for some reason

Hmm that didn't stand out at first but maybe only because it's so different when written. I think it's better than Stella, but perhaps borderline too similar

Technically, any name that begins in Mc or Mac or ends in "son" is a boy's name, because they all literally mean "son of."

I think Odette is a lovely name, although it's not one I've considered for our own child.

(TWO) How about Celeste, Helen, Leah, or Selene? They still have an "Elle" rhythm but more subtle.

(THREE) Odette reminds me of The Swan Princess, but it's still a pretty name.

I like Harrison.

For the girl names, I think some of these are okay. The ones like Arabella and Annabel would be fine because they are more recognizable as "Bel(la)" than as Ella, so it wouldn't be weird. I love the name Annabel. I'd say away from Stella and Eloise, though, because they DO sound like the child is being named after you. I also think Isla would be okay, but I'm not a huge fan of the name.

What about . . .
Esme
Louisa
Hazel
Ruby
Lily

I don't like Odette at all. It's too out there.

1. http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/search.php?p=qsearch&s_gender=3&s_copt=3&i_search=son

2. I don't think names like Eloise, Arabella, Annabel, and Isla are a problem. Stella is a bit too rhyme-y

i think using some names with the "elle" sound is fine. i wouldn't go with anything that actually has "ella" in it, like stella or arabella, but i think the rest are fine. i really love eloise and isla is very nice.
