Just a quick question.... I am so in love with the name Sage right now. What do you think about a boy named Sage? or is it a girl's name? I like it for both genders personally. I will post a long name list later but this is my number one right now. Also if you could suggest middle names? Suggestions are more than welcomed! Thanks a lot!

I don't know why, but I really like it -- though I can only really see it used on a girl. :\

I usually hate unisex but I like Sage for both. I think a little more on a girl because it goes better with feminine middle names.

Sage Adele
Sage Bailey
Sage Camille
Sage Catherine
Sage Leigh
Sage Lorraine
Sage Matilda
Sage Maya
Sage Noelle
Sage Rhea (pn. "ray")
Sage Renee
Sage Simone
Sage Theresa

Leigh is about the worst possible middle for Sage - it becomes "sagely"! I love Sage Adele, Sage Camille, Sage Lorraine, and Sage Noelle though. It sounds really pretty with a stressed second syllable mn.

Sage Lorraine reminds me of quiche lorraine... maybe also because you can cook with sage too

It's a girl's name to me. It's a plant name, a color name, and a virtue name, all of which are usually feminine names. Middle names are tough because it's an adjective - I'd go with something more common and obviously masculine or feminine.

I totally agree with all of this.

Sage Elizabeth is good.

For some reason I see it more on a boy.
I don't like it as much on a girl.

I don't like it, but I see it as a boy's name because I used to ride a male horse named Sage.

I only like it on a girl. I quite like it on a girl, actually :D

my cousin's wiccan name is Sage, and she always uses it now so I automatically see it on a girl

Obviously I love it, probably far more than is healthy. Just has everything I'd look for.
I know about an equal number of boys & girls with the name. So it works. :)

My mn is Clair, but also considered ...
Caroline, Cerridwen, Clara, Elise, Fiona, Meredith, Rhiannon.

For boys ...
Alexei, Dylan, Edward, Finley, Noah, Orion, Thomas

You're welcome :)
LOL guess it would be, I've used names for animals then ended really loving them for people too.
Glad to be of service.
I've been interested in the Romanovs for years, so always been partial to Alexei as a name; Anastasia & Tatiana (two of his sisters) are pretty too.

Cool, it's good finding likeminded people.
I have four huge books, and read others, collected over years of doing projects in school.
Liseth is a sweet name, never heard that before.

The only Sage I've ever know has been a male, so when I hear of using it on a girl, it sounds silly to me. But it looks like I'm in the minority here, so...LoL

I actually have it on my list of boys' names, and I like Sage Henry or Sage Alexander.

Sage is one of my top favourites, but I really only like it on boys; I don't like it all on girls, I don't see it as unisex, but I guess that it is. I know a boy named Sage, and I like it a lot on him. I don't know his middle name though, but I think that it sounds better with longer names.

Sage Michael
Sage Donovan
Sage Elliot
Sage Sebastien
Sage Samuel
Sage Elijah
Sage Gillespie
Sage Kennedy

I can only see it as a girl's name, I don't like it for a boy at all.

But the only Sage I ever knew (actually I think she spelled it Saige) as a mean, snotty little girl, so I have negative associations, which may be why I don't really care for it.
