Baby Names

I had thought that we had officially decided on names, until we went to my mother's house and she expressed how much she hated the girls name. My husband decided to let me know how he really feels. Apparently Molly = sucky name, but he was going to name the baby that to make me happy. Lame.

Anyone have name ideas for a girl... from the sibset of:

Jerry (boy)
Jordyn (girl)
Easton (boy)
Zoey (girl)
Cole (boy)

Right...

Jordyn was apparently the only name they both liked. His exwife wanted "Makenna". So she is Jordyn Makenna. I prefer Makenna, but I think that Jordyn is just awful... especially with it spelled with a 'y'.

I will give him a little credit for Zoey. They found out right after they agreed to seperate and divorce and Dayna wanted some names that were even worse. I understand why he caved. She should have been a "Nevaeh".

yeah, Zoey's not quite so bad as Jordyn, which really probably belongs on a top 10 worst names list or something, but Molly is much, much better than either of them.

I think it mainly bothers me because I knew a LOT of Jordans growing up and they were all boys. She was the first girl Jordyn I have ever met.

I think Molly is cute. And for what it's worth, my husband only agreed on Holden for our son because I was SURE it was his name and I cried for a month while I was pregnant until he agreed. He didn't like it until he was born and my husband has loved his name since he was born (Holden is 7 now).

oh wow molly is a HUGE improvement over all of those names (except zoe, which i love, without the y, thanks) so i am not sure that your hub has much room to criticize.

cole is a fine name, i just cant stand it personally. easton is ok too.
