I love the name Quinn but it is such a unisex name. When you hear it, do you think of a boy or a girl? I think I may like it better on a girl, even though I know a lot of children named Quinn who are boys.

I say this because the new preschool summer camp list came out the other day and the name quinn was on it and I had to ask my director if it was a boy or girl. It is a boy.

I think of Quinn as very masculine. I don't find it girly at all.

Maybe thats why I thiink I like it better on a girl, Thats where I first heard the name quinn and loved it, ha that was so long ago

Awwww, I loved Daria! I always thought it was weird to me that parents who picked kicky but feminine Daria went with masculine Quinn for their other daughter. On a side note, Daria and Quinn remind me of my sister and I. I'm Daria, and my sister is a brunette Quinn.

I like Quinn on a girl. I know there's a tv show or something where Quinn is a girl...

Oh damn, it's Zoey 101. I don't know how I know that...

But yeah, I think I like it a teensy bit better on a girl, but it works both ways for me really.

It's a boy's name to me.

i think i like it more on a girl, probably because it reminds me of gwen.

I think... blank. That's the problem, it's such a 'blank' name to me. It seems so insubstantial, much like, say, Lynn. But if I had to choose, I'd say it sounds much more masculine than feminine.

I don't think of either. I've never heard it used on a real person so I have no association as masculine or feminine.

I hate it on a boy and love it on a girl so when I hear the name I hope its a girl but I assume its a boy!

My mind jumped straight to male as soon as I read it in this post.

I think it works for either. I honestly can't say that I like it better on one or the other.

I think of a boy when I hear that name. As a kid I read a book in which the main character was called Quinn, and I've never met a female Quinn in my life, so I guess that's why.

I think of a girl.

I think of Daria's sister on MTV, so VERY feminine :D
I started to like it a lot after her :P

oh and to me it's feminine also because it's really close (in my mind, at least) to "queen", and "quine", which is an old scottish word for "woman"

I will forever think of Harley Quinn whenever I heard that name.

I think of a girl because of Daria and a boy because of Gilmore Girls.

So basically justwhichever show comes to mind first.

At one point, I wanted to name my daughter Quinn (if I had a girl) and then I met a woman with that name. I don't like it at all now, mostly because the woman is really uptight and quiet. I'm weird.

i think of it as a girls name, but it could easily go either way.
