i'm watching this show called Baby Borrowers where these parents give their babies to teenagers to take care of and then the teens realize they're not ready for kids blah blah

anyway i thought this was kind of funny

dad's name is WILEY
baby's name is MILEY

i just want to add to whoever watched the show, i feel SOOOO bad for the blonde surfer/skater guy. he is so nice and sweet and trying so hard and his gf (Morgan) is such an idiotic bitch

I don't think there were any names on that show I liked all that much, actually. Was one of the guys called Daton or Dayton or something? My Mom, who doesn't care about these things the way I do, turned to me with this look of horror on her face at that name haha.

They are unbelievably dumb ... the girls Alicea and Kelly ... nobody forced you on the show, so what precisely did you think was going to happen? Someone whose not even willing to put up with the pain and whatever of being 'pregnant' for a *day* is so far from being ready to have kids they practically still need a babysitter themselves.

Well, I know a couple who are Dan and Tomi(f), so their sons are Dan and Tommy. (And then they have a daughter named Leslie, since she's the youngest she got her own name).

Argh, bad names too? Well, no surprise there I suppose. I received a forwarded email about this show and how bad it is for babies' attachment and stress levels at that age to just be randomly put with strangers and having no idea how long their parents will be away for. I don't think it's showing in Australia.

by the way, by "forwarded email" i don't mean a chain letter :) it was from an organisation on infant development, and forwarded by a psychologist. But anyway, will be interested to hear how the babies cope just as much as the teens!

i don't see how its any different to long day care. 6 week old babies are allowed to be put into childcare, five days a week for ten hours a day.

Oh I haven't seen the show... I assumed it was with no breaks that the babies were left, like overnight and stuff too. Anyway, not sure what my view is on this personally except that they seem to be desperate for new ideas for TV shows these days... and that the only thing I'd heard about it was this view that it could be really negative for the babies

I think I felt worse for the guy whose girlfriend wouldn't wear the belly. Why even go on the show if you're not going to do stuff like that? And she just had a complete meltdown on him about it for no reason. Then again all the girls seemed kind of idiotic and their male counterparts were oddly better at it. I thought Miley was a cute baby though!

I almost watched that show tonight, but I didn't want to wake up to Bridezillas on all day tomorrow, so I switched to another channel (although I don't think BZ is on tomorrow, thank God, but whatever...)
