Tonight was the premiere of Shear Genius season 2 on Bravo. I don't know if anybody watched it but as soon as they started naming the contestants I thought of this community! WDYT?

And just to include them the judges: Jaclyn, Kelly, Kim (m), and Rene (m). I think Oshun is by far the worst and the main reason I wanted to post this hah. It didn't help that he kept saying, "I'm Oshun, I'm deep." Bad name and bad puns to boot. I really don't like the idea of Glenn on a girl either.

hahah it took me a while to get a grasp of the pun, because I thought it was Oh-shoon!

I found out that I like Glenn in the welsh (I believe?) spelling, Glyn.
The only one I like out of the pack is Meredith.
Although I'm neutral to Nicole.

Oshun is NOT A MISSPELLING OF OCEAN. This is not the first time somebody's brought the name to be mocked. But... just... No. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshun) And much like Zephyr, it's a name that's been used on both males and females, despite having a mythological association to either side.

I was just going to post info about this name but you beat me to it. :-) I've never seen it used for a boys name but I have as a girl's name. I think it is unique in its meaning, but personally I don't think that I could use it.... I wouldn't want my child to be teased.
