You asked for it. I don't join communities to be sworn at. It's not something that offends me, it's just not something I need to be looking at when I'm on my lunch break at work, especially when there's no good reason. I apologize if I offended you by my original comment, but if you did your job, I never would have made it. I asked if they were still being allowed because obviously, the offensive comment was still there. I do not agree with that comment that was made at all, however, I also don't think stooping to that level was justified. This post is not commanding any respect for you. Nor is it demonstrating what a good moderator does. It's no way to entice people to join this community.

When I'm reading my friends page, I don't need to see shit like that. Anything obscene in the comments is a completely different beast from an obscene post displayed on my friends page, since it's someone's choice whether or not to read the comments. I would expect a moderate to have at least a basic understanding of netiquette.

And no, I wasn't "looking for something to bitch about." I decided to speak up, in a respectful way (did I swear at you in the first comment? No) because not one else was doing it, and yet I'm met with all this hostility.

i really don't believe the mod is being disrespectful. we're all supposed to be adults and should know not to make hurtful comments along those lines in a community that is supposed to be a place where people can ask for ideas on the names they like and not be made fun of for them. damn that was a long run-on sentence.

I don't know if you think I approve of the comment. I don't whatsoever, and I expected it to be deleted, which is why I was surprised it was still there. What I was surprised with was the mod's use of language (rendering this post not work safe - and people should be aware of that) and then the incredibly immature attitude I encountered for asking questions or pointing things out. That's completely inappropriate, and being the internet and not RL is no excuse. But no, I'd never condone anyone saying anything disrespectful about someone else's decision.
