I had never heard of the name Pegeen before I met a nun at my high school named Sister Pegeen. And, who would give their kid the name Pansy? :(

Hee, my Mom sometimes used to call my sister Pansy as her pet name for her (God knows how she got that from Christina!) I agree it would be a bad first name, though. Mom also always calls me Sal and rarely Julianne (I respond as quickly to Sal as I do to Julianne!) I don't know how she got those nn's out of our names, but whatever :P

Oh, I completely know what you mean! Like, I would never tolerate anyone else calling me Sal (that would just be so WEIRD!) but it's kind of just like this special name for me from my Mom :)
