I didn't even know she was pregnant, but that's okay.
She gave birth to a little girl, and apparently the name is Elle.

In english, this would be an okay name, but since we actually pronounce the e's at the end of the name, I would've preferred the name to be Ella instead, and I'm kind of hoping my dad just wrote a typo when he texted me about it.

They have a 2 year old boy named Even as well, which I guess is the norwegian equivilant of Evan. So, the name fits, although I sincerely hope it's Ella instead of Elle.

WDYT?

I prefer Ella - it's one of my favourite names. I'd then use El (pronounced like Elle) as a nn.

How do you pronounce the E? Does the name sound more like Ellie then?

I actually like Elle in Dutch better than Ella in Dutch. Actually, I only like Ella in English because it sort of sounds like Elle in Dutch ;)

I'm not a fan of strong 'ah' sounds at the end of names.

Ella/Elle seems to plain for me. I always think Ella needs something in front of it (Isabella, Mariella)

My cousin is called Elle (pronounced Ellie so I'm not sure why she wasn't just named Ellie but anyway) and I think it's pretty cute :)

I love Elle, but not Ella...but I also love Legally Blonde so that may be why.

i really like elle, but i'm really not a fan of ella. i think that elle is pretty alone, but would rather it as a nickname.

I really like Elle in English but I agree that in Norwegian Ella would be better.
