I read through a post further down that asked about what people think about siblings getting the same middle name.
Prepare for something worse.

You see, in Norway, there's a politician named Lars. He has a brother, who's a doctor, who's also named Lars. And I'm not joking.
Apparently their parents were 100% set on naming the kids after their grandparents, and since they had two grandfathers named Lars, they both got the name Lars.

I don't even think they have middle names. Just Lars. Both of them.

How can parents do this to their kids? It's just sad.

I have a sister named Kelly. My father liked the name so much he wanted to name ME Kelly, too. My mother nearly punched him.

I have two friends from Cambodia and although they don't have the same name, they're VERY similar - San and Sam.

It's illegal in some places. Like Italy, for instance. Here you can't name a kid the same name as a living sibling. If the sibling's dead, then you can.

I rode the schoolbus for a decade with a girl named Dayana. Her older sister was Diana... and yes, they pronounced them the same.
