Date: 2006-02-09 09:49 am (UTC)I had read that Caitlin and Katelynn were two different names because of this. Caitlin is supposed to be a traditional Irish/Gaelic name, and Katelynn (or Katelyn) is supposed to be an American combination name, combining Kate and Lynn (or Lyn).
