Ew! Even worse than the variation of Shane that I saw at work today: Shayne. I suppose it's not too bad, but it looks like a feminized version, and I'm pretty sure this Shayne was a boy (it was for two birthday cakes - one said Happy Birthday Shayne and the other said Happy Birthday Shayne and Andrea - and I could have sworn she pronounced Andrea like Andrew. But I'm going to hope that was just my ears).
And people made fun of me for asking how "Cheyne" was pronounced a few months ago... this is so much worse! (fyi, I wasn't asking about Cheyne because I liked it, I was asking because I didn't know if it was supposed to be Cheyenne or Shane. But apparently some people think if I ask about a name, I MUST like it so they made fun of me anyway).
