what are the worst names of people you actually know? not just that you've heard, people you know.

my friend's older sister has three children, fayth, cherakee, and kameron (m).

i cannot believe she did that to her poor spawn.

Phoenix Riley (f) -- they call her Pheenie, as if Phoenix wasn't bad enough

Ginger - on a medical professional. And she doesn't go by Ginny. I had a really hard time taking her seriously as anything other than an exotic dancer.

I know there are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Most of my acquaintances who have kids name them relatively decent names, even if they are super trendy (Kaylee, Austin, Riley, etc.) I mean, they're bad, in my opinion, but they're (mostly) spelled correctly and (sometimes) on the correct gender.

I like Phoenix more than Riley!

Eugena Pauline is my Gramma. I like Pauline, but I do not like Eugena.

My aunt is Terri. Not a fan, but I guess it's not horrible.

Cousin is Duranda. EW! Can't stand it.

I don't know if this is the real spelling, but one of my dad's friends is Stasea. If it's real, wow that's bad. Otherwise Stacy isn't my favorite, but not horrendous.

My Husband's Gramma is Caremo. Pronounced Cuh-ree-mo. AHHH!!!

And his great grampa is Horris Twyman Hollis. O.o

When my husband and I were writing out wedding invitations, I had never known his gramma's name other than what everyone calls her : Mimi.
So when he said "Caremo Bumgardner" I was like WHO!?!?!??! Who is THAT!? I said, like "Caramel?!". Then when he said it was mimi I was like ooooh man what a horrible name! hahaha... I'm mean, aren't I?

Stacia? Or something short for Anastasia? Those don't seem horrible, if either of them is indeed the situation.

Someone in my family was named Aladine Keefer, so my uncle's middle name is Aladine. My cousin's middle name is Dode. It's apparently a family name on his father's side. That was the explanation everyone gave when he was born too, "It's a family name," as if this somehow made it less awful. My mom and I started to call him Jesse "It's a family name" Dode. :)

There is apparently a woman in my church named Dorcus too ("dork-cus"). When I heard that on Sunday I about died.

Dorcas (http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager#prefix=DORCAS&ms=false&sw=f&exact=false) hasn't been used recently, but it was absolutely in the top 1000 at one point in time. It's got an interesting history (http://www.behindthename.com/name/dorcas), and of course the people who used it had no way to know that decades later "dork" would become a slang, negative word.

I have a friend named Gagandeep, and everyone calls him Gag, which is kind of amusing in English.

One of my childhood friend's older sister's name was Randy-Ann, or some other spelling.

The first thing that always comes to mind when I hear this question is a boy from my fourth grade class who was named Koolivarius. He went by Kool.

One of my roommates has a name that alywas makes me shake my head. Hmm...how to explain... oommate A has the middle name of Justin. Roommate B has the last name of Musten (rhymes with...Justin). They're half-brothers, same mother, different fathers. Roommate B's father adopted Roommate A as a child, so that his name because [first name] Justin Musten. He's now in his mid-30's and has never bothered to change it.

My sister dated a guy for years named Duron (duh-RON). I asked him once why he was named Duron and he said, "I had an uncle named Ron." LAME. My dad always called him "Duron Duron." Or "DOO-ron," because Duron hated it.

I know of three sisters named Lindie, Cindie, and Wendie. Ugh, rhyming.

There's also a girl I know from my old high school named Bryttyne. Ewww, wtf!

There might be more, but I can't really think of them now.

Well, I teach and have subbed previously, so there's a lot. A LOT. I will check my names tag on my LJ.

Ryker, Carmel, Immaculate, Gio'rney, Christi'ona, Jay-Ar, Jassmine, Devonte, Monae, Leidy (Lady), Dekierian, Ligoraq, Alkwan, Nemiahya, Zamarie, Markeith, Dialuevhyant, Samaje, Jazzmyne, Tonie, Ja'Coby, Arnae, Rodelson, Drakkar, Alberony, Lizabeth, Gaby-Ella, Emmilie, Tzaighibhirous (Tiberius).

And frankly, that is not all of them. Some of those kids could not even spell their names.

I also knew a Ku Koo but she was not from here. :( I feel bad for her though, that's not the best name to come to the US with.

Drakkar at least means something...? I wouldn't name my kid after a kind of Viking ship, but it's got a certain panache.

Yeah, and Immaculate's mother was really young, younger than me. So I sort of wonder if she didn't use that name as an explanation of how the child came int existence.

In the youth group I used to go to, three sisters there were named Angel, Precious, and Blessing.

A guy I went to school to was named Deondra with an accent over the a. It's supposed to be pronounced Dee-ohn-dray. Worse yet, his mom named his sister Deondra without the accent. Wtf?

A former friend of mine named her kid Fait.

I think my parents did the worst job -- my name is Ann and my brother is Sam. And Sam is his full first name...not Samuel. My dad named him :S

In a class I once subbed for, there was a little girl named Demonica. She wasn't the most behaved student, so I thought it slightly appropriate that her name started with the word "demon"
