My son, Easton, just learned that I was pregnant.

His ideas:
If it is a boy, it should be Thomas... after Thomas the Tank Engine.
If it is a girl, it should be Dora... like Dora the Explorer.

Jeez:)

Heeheee! When my sister was born my brother and I had picked out names from Battle of the Planets/G Force. God Bless the the 1970's!

Both are perfectly acceptable names! He'd probably make a great baby_names member... heh. That or the television executives who decided on the names.

When my sister was born, I got to choose her middle name. I chose Morgan after one of the Bananas in Pajamas characters.

I was 7 when my mom was pregnant with my sister.

I wanted Fern for a girl.

Wilbur or Avery for a boy.

Guess what book I was obsessed with...

Aww, hahaha. I was too young when my sister was born to try anything like that. All I remember is that one day I went to see my mother in the hospital with a teddy bear balloon, and after that I had a baby sister. I was completely unfazed.

Hey, at least neither of them are really bad names! I think he has cute ideas - even if they're not your style.

And at least you don't have a daughter suggesting names; they (myself included when I was a wee lass) tend to do for superfrilly names like Annabella Princess Cupcake Honeyblossom (though that wasn't mind, it was what a girl I babysat for wanted her little sister to be named)
Ah, kids are so cute with names!

Yep. I would have adored Annabella Princess Cupcake Honeyblossom.

Princess Consuella Banana Hammock :-p

Aww, that's cute! I like Thomas :D

When I was six, my mom was pregnant with my sister. I got the choice between Christina and Christine (the two names Mom and Dad had narrowed it down to). My parents didn't know for sure that they were having another girl, but I don't think they had any boy's names picked out - Mom had this feeling both times that she was having girls :). Anyway, I chose Christina :)

Now I'm curious as to what my choices would have been if I had just been asked what I wanted to name the baby out of any names.

Haha, my 7 year old wanted to name the new baby Corbin2, at first. Then he was adamant about Jack (which was not a bad choice!)

I've got a friend who was named by her older brother in the 70's...He chose Leia :P

I work with 4 year olds. The suggestions I got for a "girl baby" were Clarabella, Gabriella (like high school musical!!), Strawberry Blueberry, and my person favorite Starcherry.

My cousins named their brother.
I think they were maybe 10 and 4 at the time.
They chose Sam so he was going to be Sam if a boy and Samantha if a girl.
I don't know if it was after a cartoon or character or just a name they liked though.
He's 15 now.

LOL aww sweet :)

My brother's middle name is Thomas after the tank engine, I was three at the time so picked it out for him and my parents liked it so went for it. He's 19 now and doesn't mind.

I was 2 1/2 when my mom got pregnant with my sister and there was this Big Bird movie with these two kids in it named Ruthie and Floyd. Guess what the name suggestions I gave my mother were.

Luckily, she's Emily Ann.

Follow that Bird? My niece watches that movie all the time. Easy Goin' Day is her favorite part! Haha.

Yeah man! I haven't seen that movie in like 16-17 years. I can't believe kids still watch it! I'm not old yet!

Well I don't know if many do, but my sister and I grew up on it and it was my sister's favorite movie. She actually found it on DVD somewhere. I think it's funny that my niece has never watched Sesame Street and only knows the characters because of Follow that Bird. She loves them all, though. Haha.

Well, since I'm not quite 20 and not in a relationship, I have no reason to go out and buy the DVD... but I just might have to anyway. ;-)

Well, I'm Jerika after Jerrica...aka Jem and the Holograms, so...I can't say much, other than the name Dora's pretty bad, haha.

I love Easton :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's awesome. I used to like Jasmine because of Aladdin, and then when I saw the movie Little Women, I totally fell in love with the names Meg, Jo, and Beth for girls. I still love all three, plus Louisa, because of the book (not the movie anymore), so maybe he won't get over that;)

That said, I actually LIKE both of those names!

I was around 5 when my aunt had my cousin. If it was a girl I wanted her to be named Hiawatha. If it was a boy I wanted Big Bird.

Haha, it was a girl, and she's Jenna (Jennifer). I just don't understand why they didn't take my suggestion! :)

My son wanted to name his 2 year old brother Anakin or Luke and he wanted his baby sister to be named Leia.
