Im really into traditional and classic names from a long time ago.

So I was wondering if everyone could do some family research and find out their grendparents and great grandparents first and middle names for me.

Winifred Gladys (she hated both, went by Wynne or Blod), Osmond Henry (known most of his life as Bob), Donald Edward (Don), Carmelina Concetta (Carmen), Frederick Albert (Fred), Sarah-Jane, Sarah Maria, William Henry, Richard Gloucester, Mireille (Mirella), Giulia Grazia, Emilio Vincenzo.

Oh, and since there were so many of them: my grandmother's siblings were Frederick, George, Thomas, Alfred, Ernest, Frank, Henry, Doris, Constance, Elsie; my grandfather's were Thelma, Sylvest [no 'er'], Granville, Elva, Delbret, Margaret. All born between 1905 and 1929.

I love love love the name Elsie !!! do you think its too out there and too traditional?

I really like it. A lot of names of the same era are back in a big way - I know babies called Archie, Freddie, Walter, Connie, so I don't see why Elsie wouldn't work too.

I LOVE the name Elsie, but that was before I had ever know it to be a traditional name. I posted awhile ago and said that I would like to name a little girl Elsie, but after a friend of mine. Her initials are L.C so we call her Elsie cuz it flows better! I think its an adorable name for a little girl, but she can also pull it off in her mid-twenties!

I actually really like the name Winifred. I'd never name a kid that, but the nickname Winnie is just so CUTE!!!!!
