Yesterday at work a caucasian family came in with 3 kids. The mom's name was Linda, and I didn't see the dad's. The kids? 6 yr old boy, Sequoia. 8 yr old girl, Raven, and 12 yr old girl, Justice.  ::sigh::

Justice is an awful name, and Sequoia is only a decent one on paper... it's horrible in real life.

No kidding! I could understand if the kid's parents were naturalists or botanists, but Sequoia would still be a ridiculous name, especially since it's also a type of Toyota.

A tree, a bird, and an abstract concept... hm, I'm wondering what effect they were going for? I can accept Raven as a name, but I think all those names together are just utterly ridiculous.

I like Sequoia on a girl, but would never use it. There are two a biology professors at my former college with daughters named Acacia and Sequoia... it seems appropriate for them and their daughters will definitely be the only ones with those names in that town (as it only has 3,000 residents who are not students).
