scarlett jade sounds kind of silly to me because they're two different colors. but i like scarlett. i don't like the boys name much though. it's alright, sebastian just reminds me of the crab from the little mermaid.
I agree; it sounds like you're specifically naming your daughter after the red variety of jade. I like both names independently, but I don't like that particular combination.
I do like Sebastian and Taylor is mediocre, but it's a nice enough combination.
I liked Scarlet Isabel better, but Scarlet Jade was my second choice. My only issue with it is that it sounds like you're describing the gem as Scarlet? But if that doesn't bother you (it's definitely not a bad thing), I say go for it.
Sebastian Taylor was my first choice for boys. I like it a lot:)
Um, this is totally random and I don't mean to be a creepy stalker, but I just got super excited when I went to your profile and saw that you're from Rochester! So am I!
Scarlett Jade is okay, although as someone mentioned, both of them are colors which is kind of campy. Sebastian Taylor is decent as well, although Taylor just reeks of the '90s for me. I dunno -- the names are all right, but don't really do anything for me.
Neither name is my favourite, but that's just personal taste. I do agree that Scarlett Jade is a bit much, though. I love Adeline Jade - too bad he nixed it! Sebastian Taylor seems kind of odd, too... Sebastian is so formal and almost stuffy sounding, and Taylor so young/informal.
I really love the name Sebastien. Scarlett isn't really a people name to me; I had a cat named that once. I don't really like Jade or Taylor. And yeah, the color thing.
