Famous Poet and Founding Father - oi
Hubby and I love the whole second middle name thing.
Our son's name is Dylan Thomas Hazzard. Obviously the name holds significance for the poet - but he is really named Dylan Thomas for Bob Dylan and my mother, Tommi.
But I like the name Clinton for a second middle name. For the historic canndiate in the democratic primary and also for the president.
Hubby doesn't like Clinton, but likes Jefferson for William Jefferson Clinton.
But how stupid would that be? Dylan Thomas Jefferson? Our baby would have way too much to live up to. lol

I like how Dylan Thomas Jefferson sounds ... but it also sounds like the answer to a Jeopardy clue or something.

Um, I seriously love you.
I really like the sound of Dylan Thomas Clinton Hazzard. Jefferson is WAY too much, I think.

Obviously, I'm no help. I just don't like the name Clinton. Maybe if Jefferson was Jeffrey, I could have a clearer decision. I do think that if your husband really doesn't like Clinton, then you shouldn't use it, and find something else.

My first thought was the kid in The Sandlot, Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez.
If you use Jefferson, people are going to assume you named him after Thomas Jefferson. If you use Clinton, some may get the Bill/Hillary association, some may think you just like the name.
I vote Clinton.

That said, I think it would be less annoying, and, depending on the child's politics, less embarrassing, to say "Clinton" and "yes" if someone asks, than "Jefferson", "no," and "like William Jefferson Clinton. You know. Bill Clinton".
