[identity profile] twitchywoman.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

So, my aunt is pregnant with her second child, a girl.  Her son is almost 19 and his name is Christopher James.  The new baby will be named Faith Elizabeth.  My great grandma died about two weeks before my aunt found out about the pregnancy and her name was Virginia Elizabeth, so I am guessing that is what Elizabeth is from.  Faith seems pretty appropriate for the situation too, since my aunt is 45 and she and my uncle tried for 17+ years to get pregnant again.

Also, here are some names of people I knew from high school and some of their siblings.  Both families are interestingly enough Mormon.

I am missing a bunch of siblings from this family:
Kaija (kai-yuh)
Joonas (pron. like Jonas)
Antti
Juko

This family is of Polynesian descent and I'm missing 6 other siblings:
Melama "Marcy"
Apelila
Lelei
Nyoka "Nikki"

Heather Armstrong, who writes dooce.com (http://www.dooce.com), wrote something one time about how the reason Utah has so many weird names is because Mormons like to make their kids unique by just putting a bunch of vowel/consonant sounds together, or something. I can't remember her exact wording, but it was basically making comments about the families who name their kids weird shit like that.

Interestingly enough, her family is Mormon, and she and her siblings are . . . September, Ranger, and . . . Heather. Hahahahahaha.
