My soon-to-be-husband wants Summer.
I want Molly.

Either way the middle name is Evelyn and our last name is Raymo (Ray-mo).

1) Which do you prefer, Molly or Summer, just as a first name?
2) Which do you think sounds better with the last name?
3) Do you think it would be weird to name a child born in the winter, "Summer"?

1) Molly is a nickname for Mary (somehow, don't look at me!), so I'm gonna have to say Summer. Also Molly sounds a bit country, but it's fine if it's just a nickname.
2) With Summer Raymo the r's could sort of run together, but to be honest it almost sounds like "summer rainbow", so what's there not to like :)
3) No, it would be quite interesting! Like she brings the ray of light in the dark cold winter :P

I dont like molly. Its just too.... blah. Well, for my taste at least :)

Evelyn was the name I was going to give to my future baby, so Im a bit biased lol. But summer came out of nowhere, and surprisingly enough, I love it.

And no, I wouldnt think it weird.A little ironic maybe, but not weird ^_^

Evelyn is the name of my grandmother that died of brain cancer when my father was two. My mother never approved the name for me or my sister and my father's brother's all had boys. I guess it is my tribute of sorts, if the baby is a girl.

In my opinion, putting the same letter in the end and beginning of the first and last name is a big no-no. Summer Raymo just doesn't sound right.
Sounds more like Summer Aymo.
And yes, if she's born in the winter, name her Winter! lol

Go with Molly. It sounds way better with the middle and last name (Summer and Raymo kind of blend together), and it's definitely a name that grows up with the kid while Summer is tacky and trendy and is hard to picture on an adult.

Also, I know several Summers and ALL of them are really immature and bitchy.

Molly is just a bit too cutesy for me... but it's definitely not a bad name. I also like Summer. So I am conflicted. I'm going to have to say Molly, though. Molly Evelyn Raymo sounds spectacular, and despite the nicknamey quality of Molly, I think it would age pretty well.

i'm kind of neutral on both molly and summer. i feel like these days summer might be more unique though. i don't know. i think summer evelyn sounds nicer than molly evelyn too. but i think both sound fine with raymo.

summer being born in a season other than summer isn't a big deal to me.
