[identity profile] tellmewhatuc.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Since you ladies are so helpful w/ names, we've got a new baby naming dilemna...
We've scratched the middle name Cadence, since my family has just informed me that it is very important that our daughter have the middle name Maria. I however, stronly dislike the name Maria.
Not only does Payton Maria sounds terrible, but now we're stuck creating a completely new name :o/
I've decided to go w/ the middle name of Marie instead of Maria, they have the same meaning, and I think that Marie sounds much better.
So, I need some help w/ a first name!
Payton Marie? I'm not sure I like that... do any of you have any suggestions?
_______ Marie
Thanks in advance!

Corysa (Cor-iss-a)
Jaelyn
Calista (hate ally mcbeal-love her name!)
Brooklyn
Naomi
Nevaeh
Paige (even tho its common ill always <3 it)
Illiana (Ill-e-ana)
Natalia
Natasia (nah-tas-e-uh)
Keltia (Tia)

Illiana Marie sounds beautiful! Marie is such a bland middle name, u need a first one to be bold and powerful. good luck!

Um, first off, it's your baby, and your babies name, your family can have all the opinions they want, but why give in? I love peyton cadence, I don't know why you'd let them bully you into that. It might be best to break the cycle now, so they aren't trying to get to you do god knows what with your own kid later on :) Trust me, that sucks. Payton Marie sounds ok, but I just don't understand why you'd sacrifice a name you guys obviously love for a mediocre name because your family said so.

Two names we thought of using were Tatum, Raegan, and Adeline.. all sound okay with Marie.

Not sure if you like them, but they're suggestions. Tatum sounds strong and similar in a way to Payton.

My daughters name was Anna Marie before I changed it to Anna Maria (after the divorce)
But I agree....you are the parents you should be the one calling your child the name you want too.
I love all the names that were listed above....but why dont you just name her Candice Marie then everything will work out.

Just another option, in the world of Jane Austen, "Maria" (mah REE uh) is pronounced "Mariah" (Mah RYE uh). I don't think Payton "Mariah" sounds bad.
