What do you guys think of the name George? Too stodgy? Do you immediately think of our fearless leader, GWB?

It's really growing on me. I think it would be a cute name for a little kid, and a reasonable name for an adult, too.

Oh, I love George. It's really a new favourite of mine. I don't automatically think of GWB, I think of Fred and George in Harry Potter. I really really like it :-)

I think of a monkey- either Curious George or the fearless leader :-P

I like it. It's a very sassy name. People would hate it upon first hearing it, but if they actual knew a cool kid by the name, they'd think it was the greatest most original name ever.

The Curious George movie coming out might give it a little boost.

Fortuately, it does not make me think of Bush.

i cannot wait to see that movie. i'll be bringing my two year old for appearence factor only. i soi want to see it.

the first thing i thought of was my grandfather, since that was his name, and i didnt think of gwb until you said something. it could be cute i guess.

oh and some thoughts on your names under the cut:

i like caroline (its my name!), felicity, susanna (but think its much much prettier as susannah), beatrice, and grace (although its ridiculously popular now, but it goes great with almost anything so is a perfect middle name).

I really like George and don't think of GWB at all. I like Thomas a lot too.

I think of the movie Two Weeks Notice. ahah.

I lovelovelovelove Elinor. It's one of my all time favorite names. If I ever have kids, I plan on the girl name being Elinor Susannah.

I also love the names William and Thomas. I think William Thomas would be a cute name.

I think Elinor spelled that way is so pretty.

Hate all the name besides William, Thomas, and Grace.

I hate the name elizabeth with a passion.

I'm a Bush supporter, but I don't particularly like the name George. Actually, I don't really think of Bush as George - I think of him as Bush ^_^ But George is an alright name... I've just had bad experiences with them... lol I had a neighbor named George who was a bonefide annoyance :)

I like Grace, Daniel, Elizabeth, and Felicity. George reminds of GWB, even though I'm Canadian and another reason I don't like it is that it sounds stupid, my mom's cousin has son named George which I don't like him at all.

When I hear George I don't think of the pres. I like it but i like William and Daniel a lot more.

George- I know a cool kid named George. I don't think of Bush.. but i'm English & don't think about him too much anyway- Having said that, now i'm thnking about him i hate him...

John- Don't like it... the most popular name ever.
William- hmm..boring. I know some very boring people called William.
Martin- Not my type of name at all.

Anne- Prefer Anna so much more.
Elizabeth- I like it, but the only nn i like is Libby.
Caroline- Dislike a lot, but i knew an awful woman called Caroline so that's probably why.
Felicity- haha well.. i think you know my stance on this one! I like it an awful lot but not as much as another name :-)
Susanna- Pretty, but i can't see sitting well on a baby...(though thats a really silly think to say i know)
Elinor/Eleanor- Never liked this name.. but i like Elle.
Beatrice- Hate it.
Grace- Rather boring.. common but you can't argue with the fact it goes well with everything as a middle name & if i didn't hear it so often i would likle it a lot more.
Genevieve- I'm not sure.. i think I like it.

I love your choice in boys' names. I actually enjoy the name George. It doesn't make me think of GWB (even though I live in the state of FL where his fearless brother rules the roost!)

As for your girls' names, I like Anne, Elizabeth (and I agree that the name Eliza is beautiful, too!), Caroline, Felicity (one of my absolute favorites), and Grace (although Grace is really popular, as people have said, so if you want something more original, this could be a problem.)

I'm not a fan of George, though I've grown to love some of it's female counterparts (Georgia, Georgina) through knowing people with those names.

I love the names Eleanor, Beatrice, Grace and Genevieve.

It just sounds so...old.

I like the rest though, both male and female, except for Martin which sounds nerdy.

One of my fiance and I's favorite names is Henry, so I hear you when people say it's too "old". It sounds too "old" because it hasn't been popular, but I think George is cute! Plus, it's better than a 40 year old "Cooper" or "Dylan", yannow?

oh i love your names! And as for George - i think its a great boy name! one of my favorites, its adorable as a 5 year old, cool as a teenager and grown up for an adult - i think its fabulous. I know a George who goes by Giff, which i think is cool as well.
