Celebrity Influence?

My hubby and I rarely agree on girl names but we had long ago agreed on Erica........then Erica Christensen got big. Yes, that is also our last name, spelled exactly the same.

So am I right, would it be cheesy to use Erica now??

And I know I'm gonna get alot of "if you like it use it" but won't that be the first thought that comes to mind upon hearing it, in which case I don't want to use it?

I have honestly never heard of Erica Christensen! And I agree with one of the above-posters that b/c it's more of a neutral name, people aren't going to be as likely to associate it with a famous person, ya know?
