Celebrity Influence?

My hubby and I rarely agree on girl names but we had long ago agreed on Erica........then Erica Christensen got big. Yes, that is also our last name, spelled exactly the same.

So am I right, would it be cheesy to use Erica now??

And I know I'm gonna get alot of "if you like it use it" but won't that be the first thought that comes to mind upon hearing it, in which case I don't want to use it?

Erika Christensen spells her name with a "k," not a "c." If you use the name, I would spell it differently than she does.

I like what an above commenter said about it not being unusual, such as Reese Witherspoon or Calista Flockhart. I say go for it.
