Alla- This would make a nice middle name.
Amaliya- I like it without the y.
Anastasia- One of my favorites, but my roommate's friend ruined this name for me.
Dariya- Again, I like it without the y.
Dominika- No thanks.
Duscha- Pretty, but here her nn would be "douche," unfortunately.
Fanya- The Russian take on Fanny... still don't like it,
Feodora- Too close to sounding like the hat.
Galina- No.
Ivanna- The former Mrs. Trump ruined this name for me.
Izabella- I prefer Isabelle.
Jelena/Jelina- I'd use the -ena version, because my middle name is Elena.
Katarina- Love this name.
Kira- Eh..
Larisa/Larissa- Don't like it.
Luiza- Too Sound of Music
Marina- Don't like it.
Mariya- Cute.
Marya- I can take it or leave it.
Masha- nn: MashER? Mash?
Mika- I think of this as a male Finnish name: Mika Hakkonnen anyone?
Mikhaila~Zoya- Don't like any of them

Oh, I realize it changes the pronunciation, my father is half Russian. I just tend to like the "ah" sound over the "yah" sound, and also since I live in Georgia, people would get it wrong anyway.

I adore Russian names! Anastasia is probably one of my favourite girls names, but alas I'd never use it.. lol.

Regardless, I like the list.

I like Galina, Katarina (a name that's suddenly growing on me lately), Kira, and Larissa. Most of the others are okay,, but they don't really do it for me.

Woo! I'm Russian. My babushka's name is Valentina and my Russian grandpa was Viktor. A lot of my relatives' names are here -
I'm related to a zillion Katyas (Katerina), two Kiras, a Natasha whose daughter is Ksana, an Alexandra that goes by Shura as a nn.

Oh! And my mum's name means 'love' in Russian but I'm not sure how to spell it in English (as she goes by Lyn legally in Australia). It's sort of a cross between Lyuba and Luba (the u making a quick 'oo' sound)
